Avery Monsen is an actor, writer, and artist living in New York City. He is currently an actor on the UCB Maude team, Beige, and and a writer/actor on the UCBDigital team, Goldwater. He is the co-author and illustrator of a several books, including All My Friends Are Dead, I Feel Relatively Neutral About New York, and K is for KNIFEBALL: An Alphabet of Terrible Advice. One of those books was a national bestseller. Nice job, Avery! His writing and illustrations have also been featured in McSweeney's, San Francisco Chronicle, Seattle Stranger, San Antonio Current, Grand Junction Daily Sentinel, Pacific Sun, Toledo Free Press, San Diego Reader and Maui Time. He also wrote for Season 3 of Billy On The Street. He has acted with the California Shakespeare Theater, Two River Theater Company and Marin Theatre Company, among others. He's also been on 30 Rock, Jimmy Fallon, Nick Jr, and in a handful of commercials. He recently co-created and starred in the Above Average web series One Take Movies.
