Michael Hartney wrote and performed the long-running So I Like Superman: A One-Nerd Show. With Justin Tyler, he created the Characters Welcome house team, the IFC digital series Unique New York, and Ten Men: A Two Man Character Show. Past UCBT teams include Harold Teams The Governess and Side Piece, Lloyd Team First Lady, and Maude Teams High Treason, Arbuckle, The Prom, and Legs for Days. He directed the UCBT shows Fresh, Mr. Jersey's Neighborhood, Through the Back Door, Umconfortable, OH NO!, The Dead Dads Club, and I Am Very Important People. Other past shows at UCBT include Spoiler Alert: This Is A Sketch Show, The 2017 Tony Awardz, Brad Sacks Gets A Handjob, Oh My God, I Heard You're Dying!, and The Same Sex-Tacular. Michael has appeared on 30 Rock, in the films BearCity and Small Time, in web shorts for IFC, Above Average and Yahoo, and commercials for Visa/NFL, Hanes, AT&T, Time Warner Cable, and many more. He originated the roles of Stanley and Mr. Williams in Broadway's School of Rock The Musical and is currently a staff writer on Throwing Shade, Tuesdays at 10:30 on TV Land.
