Brooke was last seen on episodic television as serial killer Belle on [b]Law & Order: Criminal Intent[/b] and last seen on Broadway as a Belle of a sweeter sort in [b]Disney's Beauty & the Beast[/b]. She made her Broadway debut in the original cast of [b]Hairspray[/b], eventually playing sidekick Penny Pingleton. Films include [b]Music and Lyrics [/b](with Hugh Grant and Drew Barrymore), [b]My Sassy Girl[/b] (with Elisha Cuthbert and Jesse Bradford), [b]Who's the Top?[/b] (with Steve Buscemi), [b]Take Care[/b], and [b]Moving Mike[/b]. Brooke made her Los Angeles stage debut as Anne Frank in the West Coast Premiere of Michael John LaChiusa's [b]Little Fish[/b] (with Alice Ripley and Gregory Jbara) and can be heard on the Original Los Angeles Cast Recording ([b]Ghostlight Records[/b]). She followed that with the Los Angeles Regional Premiere of her favorite piece, [b]The Light in the Piazza[/b], as the delicate, innocent, and passionate Clara Johnson, a performance and production much loved by both audiences and critics, with Brooke receiving a Best Performance by a Leading Actress acknowledgment from [b]Stage Scene LA[/b]. Brooke has worked with some incredible up-and-coming composers onsome breathtaking new works, including [b]Hurricane[/b] by Michael Holland, [b]Hilltop House[/b] by David Christian Azarow (book by Stone "Bud" Widney), and [b]Falling for Eve[/b] by Bret Simmons (book by Joe DiPietro). She can currently be seen on television and in print channeling Annette Funicello in a beach party themed campaign for [b]Keep California Beautiful[/b], and other spots for [b]Yoplait[/b] and [b]Orkin[/b]. Brooke was a regular performer at [b]Upright Cabaret[/b], currently a regular at [b]Piano Barre[/b], and performs monthly at [b]Upright Citizens Brigade[/b] with her sketch team, [b]Oh Brother![/b]. Other [b]Upright Citizens Brigade[/b] credits include Maude Team [b]The Space Program[/b], [b]CDR (Comedy Death Ray) Sketch[/b], [b]Quick and Funny Musicals[/b], [b]Sketch Cram[/b], [b]Not Too Shabby[/b], and an appearance with [b]A Kiss From Daddy[/b]. Brooke will be appearing in 2011 at [b]The Chicago Sketch Festival [/b]with [b]The Space Program[/b]. Finally following the advice of many a friend of the past fourteen years, Brooke has completed the first draft of a screenplay based on her family and set in her hometown of Waterbury, CT and is working on a pilot script mining the same material. She lives in Los Angeles where she enjoys art-making, music-making, photography, renovating a first home, and raising a Yorkie puppy named Fenway (Go Sox!) and a schnauzer/terrier mix named Buddy with her husband, actor/writer Armand DesHarnais.
