Ben Wietmarschen (pronounced like wheat-martian), is a comedy writer, performer, director, and improviser living in Los Angeles, CA. He has worked as a staff writer at Funny or Die, contributing writer for Onion News Network and a sketch teacher at UCB. He's a big sports-head and has done a lot of sports-related comedy. He served as a writer for the UCB Maude team FAMBLY and performed on Harold team, JETSET, Lloyd team, THE NIGHTMARE and Mess Hall team, RINGO. He wrote and starred in "Baseball is America", a sketch comedy show that ran at the UCB Theatre. He also co-created, wrote and stars in the web series "Long Haired Businessmen" and the short film "Men's Thanksgiving," you can search for (and watch) them on the internet! He has directed multiple UCB Maude Teams, Funny or Die sketches, and other sketch comedy in various forms. Ben used to live in NYC and then moved to LA. He was born and raised in Cincinnati, OH and cares too much about Cincinnati sports teams. He graduated with an English and Education degree from Kent State University where he ran Cross Country and Track for the Golden Flashes.
