Atsuko Tanabe

Atsuko Tanabe is from Japan and has been studying American comedy at UCB theater for a couple of years . She had been believing Improv show is played on a script because she didn't know what Improv meant. There is no improv culture in her country. She realized that Improv was Improv in her first Improv class.

She is honored to be a writer and a performer in video sketch "Desperate Muscle Man" for Curtis Gwinn and John Gemberling's production "Cowboy & John production".

She is trying to show "Japanese comedy is funny". She sometimes performs at Liquid Courage in her mix game style of Japanese and American.

Her short film screenplay "Funky Sushi" was selected as a finalist in Manhattan short film festival. She hopes someone would be interested in that.

She is also an assistant for Japanese fashion magazine. She writes about NY fashion, culture, people, art, lifestyle as a journalist.
