Rebecca Addelman

Rebecca Addelman has written for Adult Swim’s China, IL, IFC’s The Whitest Kids ‘U Know,Current TV’s sketch comedy SuperNews!,as well as many Canadian network sitcoms that will go unnamed. (Rebecca is Canadian, FYI. I’d stop reading now if you hate Canadians. Or don’t, I don’t care what you Canadian-haters do.)

Rebecca has developed her own half-hours for MTV, CBC (Canadian Broadcasting Corporation), and Showcase (Canada’s Showtime). Her Maude team The Get Go performs at the UCB monthly, and she can also be seen as one half of sketch duo “Holly & Rebecca” (with Holly Prazoff).

Rebecca is the winner of the DC Comedy Fest’s inaugural screenwriting award for “Best Pilot,” and was named one of the top young Canadian comedians to watch when she was nominated for the Tim Sims Award. Her humor columns have appeared in The Walrus (Canada’s Harper’s), and she is published in the Heeb Magazine Storytelling anthology “Sex, Drugs and Gefilte Fish.” She once spent a summer skinny-dipping across the Holy Land with an elderly gentleman named Gershon.
