Michael Cassady is an actor/musician from Iowa who performs in Los Angeles at venues including the UCB Theatre, Largo, Steve Allen Theatre and the Geffen Playhouse.  He is a proud member of the sketch group “A Kiss From Daddy”, and the UCB Harold Team “Arts & Athletics.” Other UCB credits include Freak Dance, The Cigar of Charlyne Yi, Fireball Deluxe:DadQuest, Before They Were Giants, Comedy Death Ray, See You Next Tuesday, Sketch Cram, Dirtiest Sketch Contest LA, Two Ghostbusters Meet Two Ninja Turtles, UCB Gets You Laid among others.

Michael writes, plays, and sings in the piano-pop trio “Don’t Stop Or We’ll Die” and has written original music for many videos, films, and stage shows including Fireball Deluxe:DadQuest and arranged and scored the music for both the Freak Dance stage play and the film.  Michael also wrote the music for the TV series "Players" on Spike.

Other stage acting credits include Michael's solo play "Catalpa" at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and Evidence Room Theatre Los Angeles (Winner of 2006 LA WEEKLY AWARD for Best Solo Performance); Shipwrecked! at South Coast Repertory and the revival at the Geffen Playhouse, among many others.  He most recently appeared in the film adaptation of Freak Dance, directed by Neil Mahoney and Matt Besser.  Other film credits include Killers (Lionsgate), Eagle Eye (Dreamworks).   TV credits include Three Rivers (Paramount), New Adventures of Old Christine (CBS), Popzilla (MTV).
