Jessie Gaskell is a writer, performer, and creative generalist from California by way of Panama (much like a Putumayo CD, she is a congolomeration of world beats).  Jessie is currently a staff writer for tv show The Dish, a spin-off of The Soup hosted by Danielle Fishel on the Style Network.  As such she watches a lot of tv at work and writes snarky commentary about fashion mishaps.  "Be the change you want to see in the world!" Jessie has been with UCB since 2005, writing and performing for Sketch Cram, Dirtiest Sketch, Not Too Shabby and Ucbcomedy.com.  She has also performed at IO West, the Comedy Store, and Westside Eclectic. Currently Jessie writes and produces videos for "Sensible Snack," a two-women comedy group.  She also writes and performs in the popular web series Dorm Life, which was named a Webby Honoree for Best Comedy Writing and received the title of "best new web series" on jackmyers.com.  Her political videos and commentary (such as the viral hit Huckabee Girl) can be seen on 236.com and The Huffington Post. Jessie has no free time, but if she did she would spend it training for another marathon or campaigning for Obama.  She'd also start a jewelry business, learn html and take inner-city kids horseback riding.
