Matt was raised by a pack of Jewish parents right outside the nation's capital. Despite his name, he did not play football while in high school. His mother thought it was too dangerous. He attended and pretty sure graduated from Syraucse University located in sunny Syracuse, New York. He now resides in the Russian part of West Hollywood. Matt has been a student/performer at the UCB theatre in Los Angeles for nearly two years now.

He wrote and starred in the UCBLA show "Cancelled: The Late Night Blitz with Matt Blitz". The show was promptly cancelled. He was also the co-writer and co-creator of the show TV: The Ride.

He is a member of the sketch teams "Cookie Blitz" (named after his mother), "The Ape Saved the World", and "BallRoom Yau".

He also plays makem ups with the team "Wizard St. Cloud".
