Nate Smith

Nate Smith is a filmmaker, writer, and actor in New York City.  Nate writes, directs and edits comedy shorts and ads that can be seen at sites like ucbcomedy, funnyordie, and atomflims.com as well as his own websites, coffeeshopcomedy.com and rogue-elephant.net.  Notable acting credits include his role as an TGS writer on NBC's 30 Rock- a role that involves lots of reacting, but very little talking.  Also a lead role in the upcoming independent feature, Hello Lonesome, directed by Adam Reid; the Showtime series, This American Life; the online reality show, Project Improviser (he came in seventh); sketches for collegehumor.com & landlinetv.com; and a handful of national commercials.   Nate has been a part of dozens of shows on the UCB stage, most notably with the current UCB house improv team, Badman, and the former house teams, The Fucking Kennedys and T.R.U.C.K.S. Nate is a founding member of the independent improv and sketch group, Rogue Elephant, which has performed at national comedy festivals, various colleges, and regularly at venues around New York City.  In addition to comedy, Nate has worked extensively in documentary films as an editor and producer.
