Hal Phillips

Hal has been studying improv at the UCB since 2005. He currently performs in Harold Night with Scootch and in a long-running biweekly show with indie team Sherpa. Past improv credits include the UCB shows Sensory Deprivation, Airport '07, The Subject, The Buccaneer, Triple Play, and the Movie, and indie teams Big Tobacco, Devil's Haircut, the Pill, and the legendary CPR. He's studied under a ton of improv teachers, including Chris Gethard, Anthony King, Christina Gausas, Michael Delaney, Billy Merritt, Shannon O'Neill, Charlie Todd, Armando Diaz, and Jean Villepique. Hal has also written sketch comedy for the now-defunct UCB Maude team the President and the now-defunct UCB show Sketch Cram. He would like to thank the Muppets for showing him how comedy is done.
