Jenny Hagel
Jenny Hagel is a TV writer and comedy performer.
She is currently Head Writer of MTV's weekly pop culture show 10 on Top. Other comedy writing credits include Big Gay Sketch Show (Logo Network), Big Morning Buzz Live (VH1) and the NewNowNext Awards (Logo Network).
She has written political comedy videos for The Economist's web site [youtube.com] and her original web series Feminist Rapper [youtube.com] was featured on the front pages of Funny or Die, Jezebel and Slate.
Before moving to NYC, Jenny spent 5 years writing and performing sketch comedy at the Second City in Chicago. She also spent 10 years performing at the iO theater as a member of the house teams Carl & the Passions and Deep Schwa, and lots of time improvising and freestyle rapping with Beatbox.
At UCB, Jenny is a proud member of the improv ensemble Key Party and has directed the kickass Maude team Onassis. She also performs with the musical improv ensemble Baby Wants Candy.
Jenny was recently named on of Go Magazine's 100 Women We Love [gomag.com].
