Julia Wiedeman

JULIA WIEDEMAN wasborn in Buenos Aires, Argentina and lived all over the world before landing inNYC in 2002. She studied Theatre,Dance, and Philosophy at George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia. Notable roles Julia has had in theatreinclude the Nurse in Wooden O’s production of Romeo and Juliet,Sarah in Artists Collective’s production of Mr. Kolpert, and all of the townspeople in The 15Minute Crucible (Fringe Fest). Her film and TV work includesbackground work in Stepford Wives,When in Rome, L&O, Gossip Girl, and Saturday Night Live. Always available on the internet inmany comedy videos, Julia can also be seen as a recurring character in theburg.tv,theallfornots.com, and Sister Time(available on youtube.com). She has performed burlesque as Roja Rouge at Rififi, The Slipper Room,Galapagos Art Space, and Webster Hall. From 2007-2008 she produced and hosted The Night Cap, a live burlesque talk show at Rose Live Music. She has studied improv and sketch atthe Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre and twice she has entered, performed, andwon The Dirtiest Sketch Contestat UCBT. She performs with themonoscene team Sheldrake Boothroy, musicalimprov team Dumpster Tequila, andas a supernumerary at the Metropolitan Opera in many operas including LaBoheme, Aida, and Les Contes du’Hoffman (directed by Bart Sher). She is proud and thrilled to perform her long awaited show, NAKEDPEOPLE, at the UCBT under the guidance anddirection of Angela Dee.
