Matthew Klinman
Matt Klinman is a writer, performer and director living in New York City. Matt is currently a staff writer for Onion Digital Studios, directs the monthly UCB show Sketch Cram and is a proud member of the UCB Harold Team Surfing.Matt was a staff writer for The Onion News Network and a contributing writer for The Onion News Network on IFC, Onion Sportsdome on Comedy Central, and The Onion in print. He has also written for AMC, LandlineTV, Jest.com, the Queen of Jordan, and the journal of Meteorology and Atmospheric Physics.
Matt has studied improv and sketch at UCB since commuting from college in Philadelphia to take Improv 101 in 2007. You can also see him performing around the town with the excellent improv teams SLUG and Great Big Dinosaur.
Matt grew up in San Diego, California and started doing comedy at Haverford College where was in the sketch and improv troupe Lighted Fools, wrote/edited the college newspaper funny-page The Last Word and graduated with a B.S. in Geology. He spent some time in LA too, so if you think you recognize him from there, that's not crazy.
