Jake Fogelnest

[headshot]Jake Fogelnest started a television show from his New York City bedroom when he was fourteen years old. Now he's twenty-five…and he’s grown a beard. He was the creator and host of the cult 90’s hit, "SQUiRT TV on MTV." Jake’s produced his own hour special for Comedy Central, made guest appearances on "Late Night With Conan O’Brien" and had a cameo in the film "Wet Hot American Summer." Jake was the host of his own radio show "The Buzz" on 92.3 K-Rock in New York City and has co-directed music videos with Spike Jonze. Jake’s written magazine articles for Spin, Ray Gun, Alternative Press and Jane. He continues to write and produce various television projects for MTV, VH1 and UPN, including Barry Sobel's upcoming talk show special, "Old School." Jake also contributes jokes to Weekend Update on "Saturday Night Live." He’s been involved in tons of projects at UCB including "Mr. A$$," "Doin’ Blow With George W.," and "Jon Daly is Balls Out," which earned him the 2003 Emerging Comics Of New York Award for Best Director. He co-directed, (with Tom Gianas) the shows "Jerry Minor Is A Black Man" and Sarah Silverman’s, "Jesus Is Magic." In addition, Jake co-directed (with Amy Poehler) "Eye Candy," an official selection of the 2002 HBO US Comedy Arts Festival. Jake serves as the “Minister Of Comedic Arts” (whatever that means) for the Ars Nova Theatre. He's currently working on creating a video game for Atari (which is totally awesome but top secret) and if things continue to go well for him, then hopefully he isn't going to get cut out of VH1's, "I Love The 90's."
