Marty Johnson
Marty Johnson is a writer/performer. She currently writes and produces political satire videos for the site FlackCheck.org. Marty has written and starred in independently-produced comedies which have won Best Film in the NBC Short Cuts Film Festival and been selections of the New York Television Festival and Independent TV Festival. She wrote a sitcom pilot for NBC Universal and her latest comedy spec script was a top-three finalist in the Austin Film Festival Writing Competition. She was recently a writer/performer in a weekly late-night sketch show, "Vanity Project," airing on Boston's WCVB. She is a proud member of the Writers Guild.
Her sketch show (Somebody's in the Doghouse) was a finalist in the 2011 & 2010 Friars Club Improv & Sketch Competition and has toured to numerous cities and festivals. She has also performed with The Second City at Sea, and written and performed in multiple mainstage revues with Improv Asylum, and improvises with Harold Night at ImprovBoston. Marty's credits range from doing voiceover work for Adult Swim to producing for PBS.
