David Thunder

Dave Thunder is an actor, comedian, and filmmaker from New York City. A graduate of New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts, Dave has written and directed over one hundred different films and videos, including the award-winning 16mm short, I LIKE LEAVES. In 2001, he was a recipient of the Richard Vague Filmmaking Grant for his screenplay, CAMP TV. He has been acting professionally since the age of eleven and has a repertoire of over seventy-five distinct comedic characters. His television credits include appearances on LATE NIGHT WITH CONAN O’BRIEN, ESPN, and programs for THE CHILDREN’S TELEVISION WORKSHOP. He can also be heard as the voice of "Signal" in the Japanese anime series, TWIN SIGNAL. He performed as "Mark Twain" in the 2004 Chicago Improv Festival, is a veteran of three Harold Teams at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theater (MAILER DAEMON, NANCY REAGAN, and KILL YOUR DARLINGS), and has appeared in several sketch and improvisation shows throughout New York and Los Angeles. Past UCB shows include DON’T LAUGH I MIGHT BE RETARDED, and Rob Lathan’s TALENT SHOW. As the opening act for INSIDE JOKE, Dave has opened shows for talents such as Stephen Colbert, David Cross, Al Franken, Adam McKay, Dave Foley, Bob Odenkirk, and Mike Myers.
