Improv EverywhereThe streets of NYC and elsewhere are the stage. Led by UCBT performer Charlie Todd, IE agents have staged annual No Pants subway rides, a frozen crowd in Grand Central, and a Fake U2 Concert. Mission accomplished.
Nate Shelkey
Mrs. Welch didn't think he was good enough for the team at West Springfield High School. Undaunted, Nate started improvising in New York and the UCB in 2001. In addition to playing on the house teams gigawatt, Arsenal, and Kill Your Darlings--you might have spied him in The Holiday Spectacular, 22 Short Films About Elliot Gould, Your Favorite Thing, A St. Paddy's Day Carol, and as John Wilkes Booth. He is part of the infamous cabal known as The Porter Maison Project. Nate is an actor who shills products on occasion(for instance, who could forget Nate's "Customer/Butt" in a recent For Eyes commercial) and a singer/songwriter who writes hooky pop with his band, Huckleberry Slim . He has appeared on television on ESPN in Kenny Mayne's The Mayne Event, the PBS mini-series Windy Acres, MTV's Damage Control, and a brilliantly nuanced performance as a Secret Serviceman on Jeff Foxworthy's Roast for Comedy Central, and E! News Daily. He is also Ken Schenk on In The Know for the Onion News Network and the voice of the cow "Captain Beefheart" for the series of cartoon shorts, Farminals.
