Jason Saenz

[headshot] Jason Saenz is comedian and writer living in New York. His work has been featured in such publications as The Huffington Post, Washington Post, Time Out New York, Jest, Funny or Die, iThentic, Atom Films, UCB Comedy and College Humor.

He also writes for the UCB Theatre sketch group, ONASSIS, winner of the 2011 Friar’s Club Sketch Competition and finalist in the 2012 Comedy Central Pilot Competition. They perform regularly at the theater. In addition, his short film “The Wallet and The Watch”, in which he wrote and starred in, was accepted to the Iron Mule Short Comedy Film Series in NYC and his web-series, "KING TEMP"can be seen on iThenic.com and was mentioned on The Nerdist.

As a stand up comedian Jason can be seen at Carolines and Gotham Comedy Club, as well as hipster bars all around the east coast. He’s been featured in Time Out New York, nominated for a Emerging Comics of NY (ECNY) Award for Best Host, a 2012 INNY Award for Best Comic and has appeared at the Charleston Comedy Festival, NYC Underground Comedy Fest, DC Comedy Festival, Phildelphia Improv Fesival, Chicago Improv Festival and the Dirty South Comedy Festival. Jason has also appeared in a comedy sketches on UCB Comedy, College Humor, Babelgum, Joke.com, Jest, Channel 101 and Late Night With Jimmy Fallon.

At the UCB Jason has studied improv and acting with Jeff Hiller, Doug Moe, Silvija Ozols, Zach Woods, Porter Mason, Kevin Hines and Leslie Meisel. He has also studied sketch writing with Eric Scott and Chris Kelly and improvises with the indie team "The Landlords".
