Keith Bethea

[headshot] Keith has studied improv at the UCB since January 2008, during which time he's studied under such luminaries as Curtis Gwinn, Joe Wengart, Zach Woods, Michael Delaney, and Will Hines. He often daydreams about being a professional basketball player, usually within the context of making key plays during important games or being interviewed after games. Sometimes he just dreams of being a professional basketball player on the team's chartered plane flight from Cleveland to Phoenix, listening to his iPod. When he does his laundry, he does so as a professional basketball player might, with the tacit understanding that as a professional basketball player Keith would opt to do his own laundry rather than hire someone to do it for him. All of Keith's teammates love and admire him for being so down to earth despite his lofty standing as the NBA's league leader in assists, scoring, and steals. Keith has been invited to play in the NBA's All-Star Game each of his 11 years in the league.

As an improvisor he's taken part in numerous class shows, including the 600-level performance of "Cops and Robbers" which ran at the UCB theater in November of 2009. He also plays regularly with his indie team "The Belmonts". He does all his own laundry.
