Jon Gutierrez has been studying and performing at the UCB theater since 2003 and is a member of the house team Scootch. A former member of UCB harold teams Havana Clambake, Killebrew, TRUCKS and the Fucking Kennedys,he's written and performed in a ton of other shows, including The Iron Sheikh, Hot Lather: As The Diamond Burns and Over The Top Live: A Call To Arms.

Outside of the theater, he works as a writer: he currently writes for the pop-culture humor magazine ToyFare (where he spent six years as an editor) and is a regular contributor to the LA  Weekly's humor blog Topless Robot.

In the comics world, he writes and lays out the comic strip Twisted ToyFare Theatre and co-writes the comedy webseries Marvel Superheroes: What The?! for Marvel.com. (He previously wrote for Wizard Entertainment's WizardTV and the Twisted ToyFare Theatre animated webseries before they stopped happening.)
