John Frusciante

[headshot] John Frusciante is a writer, improviser, and director who has been at UCBT since 1999, and he is proud to serve as the theatre's Artistic Associate. He can currently be seen every Saturday night at UCB East in the improvised show AIRWOLF: Let's Go Back To Your Place. He has also performed in ASSSSCAT 3000, HAROLD NIGHT, and with the UCB Touring Company where he regularly performs for college students all across the country. In 2011 he was the host of INDMUSIC's HiFive, a weekly webseries rounding up the best music videos on YouTube.

Writing credits include the web series "Vetting Mitt's Veeps," produced by UCBComedy, head writer for Slate.com's weekly web series, "Up In Your Business", and sketch comedy groups Blitzkrieg, Gunderson, The Skuntz and Gorilla Gorilla. John wrote the official walking tour of NYC's Bryant Park narrated by Matthew Broderick and produced by Soundwalk.com. He has written for the websites CollegeHumor.com, Cracked.com, AmplifierMagazine.com, and ToplessRobot.com. He also co-wrote the viral Internet video "BP Spills Coffee" which was seen on The Rachel Maddow Show.

John's directing credits include Rory & Craig: Our Internet Knowledge, Thunder Gulch's POP CULTURE APOCALYPSE and KILLGORE: The New Blood. He is not the guitarist for the Red Hot Chili Peppers.
