Tony Rodriguez
A New York city transplant, Tony Rodriguez's screen credits include fun roles for Funny Or Die, Adult Swim and Dakota Films. He wrote for and performed in last year's CBS Diversity Comedy Showcase If you watch Spanish-language television you may have seen him as an insane shooting star in gold spandex and sparklers in some cell phone commercials. You can probably next catch him on Adult Swim's upcoming 'Hot Package.'
Tony began studying improv at the UCB New York in 2007 after several years performing (ahem) short-form. His teachers included Anthony King, Shannon O'Neill, Charlie Todd, Anthony Atamanuik and Dyna Moe. Tony is a proud alum of the UCB NY Harold Team The Bishop and the improvised Movie group, Oscarbait.
A Miami, FL native, Tony moved to New York having already had his off-Broadway premiere in a play that Federico Garcia Lorca denied having written.
Among various UCB sketch shows, Tony's favorite roles have included : Freddie Mercury, Harvey Milk and Salma Hayek (si, you read that correctly).
UCB L.A. credits include Glum! - a musical parody of Glee; Newsadoozies; The Rebecca Black Story; Quick & Funny Musicals; Let's Do This!; Sketch Cram; The Breaking Bad Rock Opera.
Fun Fact : Tony once cruised the Mediterranean in a two-man sketch show written with Stephen Guarino that opened for Patti Lupone. In Africa.
